Caught in Action!

I thought I would do another round of caught in action photos.  These nine come to you today all from one wedding actually.  I shot Jenn and Chris’ wedding back in February.  I swear my second shooter wasn’t shooting me all day!  Enjoy!

travel | new orleans

I am so excited to be in two, count ‘em, two weddings later this year.  Tracy is getting married in Winterport, Maine in September, and Belen is getting married in Georgetown in October.  Side note, Belen is shooting Tracy’s wedding!  Fun fun for me!  Both girls, unfortunately for me, celebrated their last hurrah as bachelorettes last weekend so I could only attend one party over the other since they were in different cities.

Belen and all her bride’s maids met in New Orleans for a whirlwind 48 hours of eating and drinking.  We worked our way through the Garden District, the French Quarter, of course, and the Marigny District.  Five years after Katrina, my heart is still broken for this city.  The cab ride back to the airport with a NOLA native was so eye opening.  We spent the quick weekend in the French Quarter, tourist central.  But after talking with my cabby, I would love to explore more of the city.  I think it has been in large part forgotten.  This was my first trip here and it will certainly not be my last.  My husband desperately wants to visit, and I cannot wait to go back.

We did all things New Orleans, getting beignets at the famous Café Du Monde, strolling Bourbon St. where I was thrown a string of beads for my “devastating” red hair, and listening to some great jazz.  These are just some snapshots taken with my point and shoot (don’t hate).  The 120 film from my Diana is being developed and will be saved for another blog post!  Enjoy!
