Friday evening, after the wedding rehearsal the bridal party and families were joined by many of the guests at Megan’s parent’s ranch. It was an evening under the stars where the guests enjoyed dinner, drinks, mini bonfires, and s’mores for dessert.

Lincoln, the couple’s dog was the ring bearer. Stay tuned for official duty photos tomorrow!

The burgers were bison meat and mixed with an assortment of spices and onions before being grilled by a good friend of the couple, Mitch.

The flower girl, Joey was so excited to take everyone out to pet the horses.

Megan’s dad was the s’more expert, giving out advice and roasting them for all.

I had the opportunity to photograph the rehearsal dinner for Becca & Scott as a gift from their bride’s maid, Angelique. What a great gift for the bride and groom! The rehearsal and dinner were held at the Temecula Creek Inn where the wedding was to take place the next day. It was a quaint party with a backyard barbeque theme complete with apple pie a la mode. Perfection!

I have been chomping at the bit to share this next series of posts with you!  In January I had the privilege of traveling to Bogotá Colombia to photograph Alejandra and Hank’s wedding weekend.  Hank and Ale have the best story!  They met while studying abroad in Europe.  They shared their first kiss in Paris, their first date in Madrid, and now live in the US.  The couple took a trip to Iceland where Hank proposed!  We were able to meet and shoot their engagement session while they were on a trip to California. They got married in Colombia and honeymooned in Bali!  Is this the perfect destination wedding story or what!?

We started the wedding weekend with the rehearsal dinner.  It was full of amazing details, traditional Colombian food and drink, great toasts, a trio of singers, and an impromptu dance by the couple.  Enjoy!

It was so amazing to have the opportunity to photograph the rehearsal dinner for Janice & Edward. This isn’t something that is always possible to do, but I have to say it’s my new favorite thing. It was so great to be able to get to know their families and closest friends the night before the big day. That way the next day I already felt like a part of the gang. I would highly recommend this for any photographer or couple getting married!
The couple had their rehearsal dinner at the Twin Palms in Pasadena, just around the corner from Happy Trails Catering. Their actual rehearsal was earlier in the day so I joined the group for cocktails, speeches, and dinner that evening. It was wonderful!
