Client Testimonial | Angelique’s Blog

So it is always a thrill to be perusing your Google Reader only to find your client’s blog fresh with a delightful post about you, your work, and a wonderful testimonial to boot. Angelique’s words literally brought me to tears. Here is a snippet of what she wrote:

“Our wedding paired with Jenny was like a relationship between peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, a chocolate croissant…okay so that’s not really a pair, but you get the picture. I really fell in love with her the moment I talked to her on the phone. I know most couples don’t have that connection with their photographer because they figure the photog will be in your life one day…and gone the next, right? Hiring a photographer involves a lot of TRUST. You’re trusting them with your one day….that simply can’t be re-done.There’s a certain confidence you’ve placed with them and you can only hope they far exceed your expectations, in which case…she did.”

I love being peanut butter and jelly with you, Angelique!

My Turn | 2009 Holiday Portraits

I have a confession to make.  I don’t like chocolate.  It’s true.  I would take a whole bag of chips over a Snickers bar any day.  In fact, what’s worse than chocolate is when they throw in all that other crap like peppermint or peanut butter.  No thank you.

I have another confession.  I love having my photo taken.  When you talk with most photographers, they will tell you that behind the camera is the only place they want to be.  They hate having their picture taken.  They are not photogenic.  They would just assume never be documented.  Ever.  I, on the other hand, love it.

And there is one time of year I always love having my photo taken.  Christmas.  Because I love sending Christmas cards!  I couldn’t wait to get married so I could start sending out cards every year.  I’m a dork, I know.  So this year my husband, Tyler, and I scouted out some Christmas tree lots with Lori Dorman and below are the results!  Enjoy!

The result was an accordion fold card featuring 8 of the above photos (photos of the card coming soon)!  Enjoy your holidays and keep this in mind for your card next year!  I’d be happy to do a session and design a card with you!
