Lauren and Tyler had the most adorable engagement session.  Simple, quiet, it celebrated them as a couple, their love, without distraction.  They decided upon one of my favorite spots, a field in Malibu with the perfect rolling hills in the background!  Reading is one of their favorite past times so they brought some of their favorite novels to tell a story with!

My favorite part of the shoot was something that has literally never happened during an engagement session before.  Tyler had emailed me to let me know that he had a surprise gift for Lauren that he was going to give her during the session.  A necklace from her favorite store, it was her astrology sign and a card to go with.  Her reaction was simply priceless and it was such a joy to document!

We had so much fun just hanging out the three of us.  It really felt like what I want all engagement shoots to feel like, a date for the couple where I am just along for the ride.  I cannot wait for their June wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu!  Thanks Lauren and Tyler for a wonderful afternoon!  You two are stunning!  Enjoy!
